Trough photography I get to express my emotions, feelings, and thoughts. Each picture brings the possibility to tell stories and to pull the viewer and I into a whole other world. Humans are always the centre of my work. That's why fashion/ portrait photography and event photography suit completely. In these two areas it's all about human beings. Humans representing and experiencing all sorts of things.

In fashion/portrait photography, I can create looks and adapt the surroundings or the subject to them. It is always an exciting challenge for me to align the model, the surroundings, and the poses so that it fits perfectly with the outfit. At the same time, I think about the stories that can be told capturing great pictures trough my lenses.

In event photography, I mainly observe a lot. I see people experiencing wonderful moments and think about how I could entirely capture that instant. Since these moments sometimes only last a few seconds, I must be well prepared for them, which is why I'm constantly analysing my surroundings and scanning for those short but soon to be captured memories. I explore where the beautiful backdrops and the interesting angles are for digital proof of a memorable event in the end.

My own requirement for every picture is that the viewer wants to immerse himself in it. The viewer wants to wear this outfit. The viewer wants to experience this party. The viewer simply wants to have been there. I achieve this effect through expressive compositions and lighting conditions that evoke nostalgic feelings.
